Our goal at M.R.A. Builder is first and for-most, to bring to you the quality of workmanship our customers want and deserve.

We have been involved in construction for more than ten years. Specializing in Venetian plaster, traditional plaster, vintage plaster, and custom woodworking.  Including cabinets, re-trims and remodels. 

Traditional plaster is the typical 3-coat plaster (scratch coat, brown coat, lime coat finish) that is found in historic and new buildings around the area. A technique that is popular in new construction is a veneer base, with lime plaster topcoats.  We can repair your existing plaster, or replace it, depending on the condition it is in.

Venetian plaster is a wall finish.  It is trowel applied in 2 to 3 layers depending on the finish required. We can apply the Venetian over existing walls or new finished sheetrock.  There is no substitute for authentic Venetian plaster.  Our plaster is 42% marble and made the same way it was in 15th century Venice. Wood work - We Would love to give your space a facelift. Whether that be new trim, some new cabinets, built-in bookcases, or a whole room remodel.  We extend past the interior of the home.  We enjoy making the outside as beautiful as the in.  We can build for you a beautiful and cozy hard-scape patio, walls and trellises to accent your home.

We have had many projects over the years, but some for the highlights are restoration of an 1820 post and beam.  Some of our trim a finish work can be seen in the Historic Mohonk Mountain house west dinning room. Custom built-in cabinets, closets and bookcases can be seen through out the Hudson Valley.  We are willing to work with you on small facelift projects, as well as the larger remodels.  If you have a design in mind we want to work with you to make it a reality.

Some of our more recent Venetian plasterwork has taken us as far as The Ritz Carlton in New Orleans, a historic church in New Orleans, a federal court house entrance Virginia, or as close as some small bathrooms, feature walls in a spas, and entrances to homes in our local Hudson Valley. You wont be able to keep your hands off these beautiful walls. If Venetian plaster is not your thing, but you prefer traditional plaster we can help.  We can repair your damaged existing plaster, or new plaster in the same fashion as was done 100 years ago.
